You Hear the Strangest Things

I was sitting eating my lunch today, listening to the teachers talk. The one first grade teacher was telling the others about her nephew's girlfriend.
Evidently this girl has had a pet python for years. Got it when it was a baby, and now the damn thing is over six feet long. Well, somehow she got into the habit of letting this snake sleep down on the corner of the bed. It had done this its entire life, and she never thought anything of it, evidently.
A few weeks ago, she noticed that it was acting funny, it had stopped eating at all. Being a HUGE python, she didn't think anything of it, until she woke up one morning and the thing was stretched out straight as a pencil across her bed. She thought something was wrong with it, so she took it to the vet.
Turns out there was nothing wrong with the snake at all. So why was it acting funny? According to the vet, there was a very simple reason for that:
The snake was planning on eating her.
Evidently, he believed the snake was not eating in preparation for a big meal, and they sometimes stretch out alongside their victims to size them up or something. He said had you waited a few more days the snake almost certainly would have attacked.
Needless to say, she went out and bought a nice big cage. The snake no longer sleeps on her bed.
