So I finished my new computer build yesterday and put Windows 8 on it. I'm using it as a home theater PC into my TV, so the tile interface seems like it would be suiting for that purpose.
Does anybody else use Windows 8? What are your impressions? Any tips for making the transition from earlier versions? I'm already planning to install Win8 Start Button.
I set up my mom's new computer and it had Windows 8. Seemed kind of shitty
The Phillies are everything I hoped the Mets would be - a team that plays their fucking asses off for all 27 outs. They're never out of a game. Solly 10/20/09
i just got my new laptop. It has this on it. I can't tell you how much I hate it. If I wanted a tablet (and I do, eventually) I would have gotten a fuckin' tablet.
[DevSop] god your sex life scares me
[SeamusMcNasty] And that is why I hate the Miz. He's got potential, but he just doesn't live up to it. Unlike Randy Orton, who has no potential and lives right up to that.

You'll get used to it, trust me. Just think of that tile screen as your start menu and it makes things a lot easier.
Also, free 8.1 update coming in October that will let you boot straight to desktop if you want. I think the speed and reliability improvements FAR outweigh the initial jarring new UI.
