I'd like to propose a change to the Consolation Draft position award. Instead of taking the #1 position throughout the draft, I'd like to propose it be in effect for just Round 1.

In my opinion, the reward for pick first every other round is a bit much.

I don't think a change is necessary, but I'm interested to see what the rest of the league thinks. Also, please check the Minor League Keeper thread. I've highlighted all players no longer eligible. If you have any disagreements, please let me know and bring facts. I'm not saying I'm 100 percent right, but I'm also not going to chase around for data I've already looked for.

Any change would have to implement in the 3rd round. By giving the winner of the consolation bracket the #1 overall pick and then his normal slot in the 2nd, thats a semi-sizable advantage as he could wind up picking 1 and 19 instead of 1 and 24. It's something that could be looked at and then there's also the actual pro draft style where the worst teams ALWAYS pick at the beginning of the round instead of snake style. I like what we do now with the consolation bracket but I'd be okay with Sharky's idea starting with the 3rd round instead of the 2nd.

Rules wise, I think we're pretty set. We could always tweak some categories but not sure what could be added/subtracted while keeping the balance between offense/pitching and without forcing some scarcity in some positions.

No, I'm actually in that 2-hour window between hungover and drunk. I just chimed in off of the Last 20 Posts page.

That said, I will be back to not participating in C&B Baseball next year.
