Here's what I'm thinking:

• Draft 4-6 teams teams each, split evenly between heroes and villains
• Each team must have 5-6 members
• Each team must contain at least one character from each of the following categories: comic books, movies/tv, novels (so 3 required slots per team plus 2 wildcards)
• Eligibility rules would follow the guidelines for past comic book drafts (i.e., there are multiple Batmans (Batmen?) but only one Bruce Wayne Batman)
  

We can talk about preferences for how many total teams and members per team we want to deal with.

Lets go balls out with this. 10 teams for everyone; 5 of each with 4-8 people per team. We can make people dig a little bit to fill their teams and if youre wotried about depth of novel characters, maybe combine that with video game characters as the third mandatory a lot.

While I personally don't have anything better to do with my time, if we do 10 teams of 8 each, that's an insanely huge draft. I know at least two guys are going to struggle coming up with the comic book component. I think that's going to be more challenging than novel characters. But what are people comfortable with? I'm open to most of the things.

And I love the video game character idea. I knew there was something I was leaving out.

So now we're looking at something like 1 each from comics, movies/tv, novels, and video games per team with 1-3 or so wild cards per team?

And we can relax the eligibility a bit by going with "fictional character who appeared in that medium" rather than "fictional character who originated or appeared only in that medium".

One big draft. You decide whether you want a hero or villain each round.
