MARVEL WRESTLING UNIVERSE SHORT TAKE 1: SHOTS FIRED.




CENA: A long time ago, in this universe myself, along with three others, were on the winning side of a battle for the greatest threat to our way of living: The Infinity Gauntlet.



CENA: We took possession of this gauntlet as a team. The four of us would share the greatest power in this universe proudly. And we did until that power was stripped from us by the god of thunder, Thor. He spoke of the dangers of the gauntlet being on Earth, so he took it - and replaced it with a championship belt.



CENA: This single championship belt immediately caused dysfunction in our group. We all held a claim to it, but it could only be held by one of us. At the end of it all, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin walked away with the belt, and our time as a team officially ended. Roman went back to Samoa. Dave is in hiding. And I have been training with 2 Cold Scorpio.



SCORPIO: Getting ready to reclaim what is yours, Cap.

CENA: This won't be about who has a right to hold the belt. It's about honor, loyalty, respect. I'll defend this land against any enemy. Steve is only in it for himself. He doesn't deserve to hold the championship. I do. So, officially, I have sent him a challenge. Like men, we will settle our differences in the ring.

CENA: Allow me to announce the first main event in MWU Pay-Per-View history. At MWU: Iron Man, I will be challenging "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the Infinity Gauntlet Championship. And if he wants to talk things through before hand? I'll be here, in New York, training for the next biggest battle of my life.

MARVEL WRESTLING UNIVERSE SHORT TAKE 2: BATTLE FOR SAMOA

Roman Reigns is traveling back to his homeland of Samoa.



During his travels, his encounters an old friend and family member, Jimmy Uso. (And let's keep in mind that the all caps is something I feel like Thor would do.)



ROMAN: JAMES, SON OF FATU. IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU WELL.

JIMMY: I AM PLEASED TO SEE YOU AS WELL, ROMAN, SON OF SIKA. I AM SORRY TO HEAR OF THE DISMEMBERMENT OF YOUR TEAM.

ROMAN: THEY WERE NOT DISMEMBERED, JAMES, WE SIMPLY COULD NOT AGREE. I AM GOING BACK TO PROTECT OUR HOMELAND. IT IS THE BEST PLACE FOR ME.

JIMMY: I WISH YOU THE BEST. THE WARRIORS HAVE DISBANDED AND DISPERSED. I AM SEEKING MY OWN WAY AND MY OWN PATH INTO THE WORLD, OUTSIDE OF SAMOA.

ROMAN: I WISH YOU WELL, JAMES. WE WILL CROSS PATHS AGAIN. I MUST GO AND TAKE MY RIGHTFUL PLACE, AS KING OF SAMOA.

The cousins bid each other farewell and continue on their journey. Several hours or days later, Roman Reigns arrives in Samoa and notices that things aren't quite right.

ROMAN: WHERE IS THE ROYAL ANOA'I FAMILY? MY FATHER, UNCLE, BROTHERS? THEY ARE NO LONGER HERE.

MYSTERIOUS VOICE FROM THE SHADOWS: Their services were not required.

Out steps...Samoa Joe.



ROMAN: WHO ARE YOU?

SAMOA JOE: My name is Samoa Joe, and I am your king.

ROMAN: JOE, SON OF SAMOA, YOU ARE MISTAKEN. I AM ROMAN, SON OF SIKA, AND I HAVE COME TO CLAIM MY RIGHTFUL SPOT ON THE THRONE OF SAMOA.

SAMOA JOE: That name means nothing to me. The names of Afa, Sika, Fatu, Samu, Jimmy, Jey, Haku, Tama, Umaga, Rosey...they are just names on a scroll that ceases to matter anymore. You call them the Royal Anoa'i family, but I have supplanted them as being greater, stronger, more powerful and better in every way. While you were off fighting among your closest allies, I was able to come and easily dispose of your precious family members. I missed Jimmy, and I missed you. But that no longer matters. I am the king of Samoa, and if you want to sit on my throne...you will simply have to force me to leave.

ROMAN: I AM A MAN OF HONOR. WHERE I AM FROM, WE SETTLE OUR DIFFERENCES IN THE SQUARED CIRCLE. I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO COMPLY AND BATTLE YOU FOR THE KINGDOM OF SAMOA IN THE RING. BUT BECAUSE YOU HAVE ATTACKED MY FAMILY - YOU MUST PAY FOR YOUR SINS AT AN EARLIER DATE. I WILL OFFICIALLY CHALLENGE YOU FOR THE RIGHTS TO SAMOA AT THE NEXT WRESTLING EVENT. UNTIL THEN, I WILL ENJOY GIVING OUT PUNISHMENT FOR EVERY BEING YOU HAVE HURT!

Roman goes for his Superman Punch...can we say that in the Marvel world? Regardless, he leaps in the air, and when he comes down, Samoa Joe grabs his arms and manuevers his way in to locking in the Coquina Clutch! Roman struggles to breathe as Joe relays a final warning.

SAMOA JOE: If it is a fight you are looking for, I'm afraid you are outmatched. But I will accept your challenge for this land, simply because you are no match for me. Until that time comes...you are exiled from the land of Samoa, and you will not be permitted to enter these lands again!

Roman finally passes out and Joe releases the hold. He nods towards the shadows.

SAMOA JOE: Dispose of him back in the United States.

Two men in cloaks, with their faces hidden (likely because they haven't been drafted yet), lift Roman up and carry him out of the Royal Palace.

BULLY RAY: DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?



BULLY RAY: DO YOU KNOW WHAT I REPRESENT?

My name is BULLY RAY...and I will be RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTROYING ALL OF YOUR HEROES.

All I've heard since I've been drafted into this trash universe is Avengers this and that. All of that will change when I start taking out your precious heroes one by one!

Let's see...Austin and Cena are taking each other out. And it looks like Roman Reigns is occupied...so that leaves...Dave Batista.



Once a destroyer, once an animal, once incredible...and now he's nowhere to be seen. Off in hiding after his little run in with his buddies over that Infinity Gauntlet.

I will search this universe for the big guy. I will find him and I will make an example of him! He will be the first of his friends to fall to me and before long - that Infinity Gauntlet Championship will be mine.

There will be no ~DAVE SMASH!~ when I'm through with him. Just Dave.....gone.
