We have three owner slots available this season. We need at least one owner (to make 12) and would prefer the (to keep the league at 14). The buy-in is $20. It's a Keeper league, with up to three players retained each year. Keepers cannot come from the first three rounds of the previous year's draft (unless they are already a Keeper), and cost the owner one round from the previous year's draft. So if Player A is a keeper and drafted in the sixth round in 2014, he costs a fifth round pick this year. Undrafted players cost a 15th round pick. If you do not have a draft pick in the round necessary, the player moves up to the next available pick.

For the three new owners, you have two options. You can take over one of the three teams, including all trades, previous Keeper decisions and draft order. The teams are Hut Hut Hox (4th pick overall), One Eyed Jacks (9th pick overall) and Canadian Content (12th pick overall). Finally, Hut Hut Hox traded its fourth and sixth round picks and Canadian Content traded its second and sixth round picks.

Or you can start a team from scratch. If you do that, there will be a Keeper Supplemental Draft after all Keepers are decided by current owners and before the main draft. Not eligible as Keepers are players drafted in the first three rounds of the 2014 draft and all players on defunct teams. The "scratch" owner gets the second pick in the draft. (The Consolation Bracket champion gets the #1 pick.) If more than one owner decides to start a team from scratch, the first owner to join gets the #2 pick and following owners join in after that. If necessary, the Keeper Supplemental Draft order will be decided by random draw.

Yep. Last year we started the actual draft on August 4th. Keepers were due a couple of weeks before that.

I'd say to take a look at the constitution and the other league stuff on this board (if you haven't already) to get a feel for everything.

Buy in will be 20 bucks. I'll set up a LeagueSafe page soon for everyone to pay their dues. Otherwise, you need to decide whether you'd like to take over an existing team (with their potential keepers as well as their trade obligations) or start from scratch.

Also, if you could PM me (and AA for that matter) with your preferred email address and facebook info I can start adding you to all the necessary groups.

All of that sounds good. I guess I would need to know what the current status of vacant team are right now. Is there an easy way for me to be able to view this information?

If you start from scratch you'll be given the 3rd pick in the draft (Dash, our other new owner, has the 2nd pick). You and Dash would be entered into a supplemental keeper draft after all the returning owners have declared their keepers.

If you choose to take over a team you get their potential keepers, their draft position, and you are on the hook for any trades made by the previous owner.

And you can see the four available vacant teams in the 2015 draft thread. The team names are there, and then you can see the players on each team in the ESPN league. Finally, you can find the draft value of each player on that team in the 2014 draft thread. Complicated? Yes. That's what you get when the commissioners work for free.

I do have a question in regards to the supplemental keeper draft for new teams.

What keeper rounds value would be assigned to players drafted in the supplemental draft? For example I take WR1 as my first pick in the supplemental draft what is his keeper value for following years? Does WR1 maintain his value from the 2014 draft or is it considered a 1st round pick and be not eligible for keeping for the 2016 season?

The value is based on last year's draft. Let's say, for some strange reason, you wanted to select Josh Gordon in the supplemental draft. I'm not keeping him (obviously) so he's available. I drafted him in the 9th round last year, so his keeper value in the upcoming season is an 8th rounder. You could grab him in the supplemental draft and he would slot in as your 8th round pick once the actual draft started.
