Matte has my traditional roster, so I love it (except that i've never seen Marek Brave though I know the special history with Rollins), but Lizzy has some great cross-generational matchups that I feel like this draft was originally made for before it became "who just missed each other 2000-2016?" So I'm going to come back to this.

I put two cards together for Liza since she was having trouble and let her pick. Having a mix of modern guys and really old school guys made it fun to book and the trick was figuring out who through that divide was best to match up together. As you can see, I loved the idea and of the six man elimination tables match and gave it to Dash too. Overall, I love Matte's storyline of Bischoff vs. Maddox and I see how each wrestler fits with each guys. Dig the top two matches something fierce.

I guess it's pleading time.

-We've got Raven vs. Taker in Taker's specialty match, the perfect situation for Raven to employ his psychological advantage and hide whatever shortcomings he (or Taker) may have.
-Muta/Balor I think speaks for itself. Basically a dream match.
-The Hardyz are in their most comfortable environment with ladders, and we all know what kind of crazy things Seth can do with them, also. The Shield guys were gone, and Jimmy Jacobs was gone, so I went super old-school and had Seth bring in his wrestling-school partner to even the odds, Marek Brave. Can't say this one wouldn't be exciting.
-Bomb Angels and Nakano/Kong is a hard-hitting joshi-style affair. If you're a fan of women's wrestling, I can't see you turning this one down. 2/3 falls only adds to the drama near the end of the match.
-Mundo/Kazarian is something I think just works. Both solid wrestlers with some high-flying capabilities. Similar personalities, too.
-Ibushi/Hayabusa/Ki is your standard mid-card energy match. Expect lots of flying around the ring and lots of sudden stops due to stiff kicks and chops.
-Tajiri/Dragon only happened one time that I could find, and that was in a short SmackDown match. Here, they're given time and free reign to let it all out. Two cruiserweight-style legends.
-Bests in the world is my tagline for the tag match because the Stardom duo has been called two of the best wrestlers in the world. It's understandable to not know of them, so their opponents, Hamada/Kurihara, are there for a little more name recognition. Hard-hitting, high-flying joshi.
-Tanaka/Misawa never happened from what I could find, and it is what you'd expect it to be. Stiff as hell, head drops, apron spots, etc.
-Nova/Hurricane might have some comedy merit to it, especially with the cape stipulation. Two solid workers fighting over a goofy gimmick. Take it for what it's worth.
-The opening four-way has some decent names in it. Nothing special, nothing to rave about. It'll just be a standard outing.
-Dark match should be fun, but if it's not your cup of tea, you can grab some snacks and hit the bathroom instead of watching it.

Plus, I've got basic stories for everything in my thread.


-From Liz/Leo, I like Cesaro/Bruno and Harley/Sheamus. Both very good matches, and even though I'm not big on super old-school, Cesaro/Bruno is one of those pure fantasy matches.
-The tag title match has an unusual pairing of partners, but it would be another fun match. Great top three, all together.
-Slater/O'Haire/Ryback isn't my cup of tea. Also seems like a strange bedfellows pairing without a story to it.
-Moore/ADR is serviceable, but I wouldn't put it above even Nova/Hurricane from my card. Double for Stevens/Swagger. Swagger is a black hole of suck.
-The following tag is a standard affair with nothing to write home about. No complaints, but no ovations, either.
-And then a Lex Luger match. Another one who isn't really my style.


I'd love to hear other's comparisons/opinions, also.

Excellent analysis. It's not my style to critigue, it usually comes out worse than I mean it.

But come on, it's not like I ever came close to passing you by...give a girl something...ok ok had a little help..but I like a lot of the old school stuff and am not too into the Japanese stuff which is pretty fab. That is more that other than you tube I really don't get to see it.

I'm also not that into women's wrestling these days.

I have not updated my thread at all, but I don't even read them all the time so the stories don't necessarily need to play a Part in the decision. I read yours this morning and it is quite good, as always.

I do enjoy the way people try to give little subtle digs to try the sway the voters.

If the dig you're talking about is Swagger being a black hole of suck, it's not something anybody doesn't know.

But your critique is just what I'm looking for. You don't care for Japanese or women's wrestling. Seven of my matches include one or both of those things, so it would make sense that you would vote against it. That's great. Sometimes posting a breakdown gets other people talking which helps plan for the next round. Otherwise, you just see that you're losing by four votes and no one gives an explanation to help you make your next card better.

I agree it can helpful to hear what others have to say I just find that many times it's not constructive just sarcastic so I tend to not do it as depending on who it is said they aren't really open to it

I used to make subtle or unsubtle digs a big part of my drafts - I used to post in other people's threads and have my wrestlers run theirs down - Eric and I always did it consensually, I think I pissed off Lucky one time with it though
