Commissioner's Announcement
With the unexpected end of the 2019-2020 NHL Regular Season, the 2019-2020 ESPN Fantasy hockey season has come to an end, and therefore the Cupcakes and Bananas Fantasy Hockey Season has come to an end.
The Commissioners have reviewed the Cupcakes & Bananas rules and by-laws (https://natecorbitt.proboards.com/post/271539/thread), which are in Phase 2 of this post. We have found no information specifically pertaining to global pandemics or interrupted seasons. The very last line of this section states:
Any rules not explicitly stated here default to the ESPN Fantasy Hockey League Rules, if applicable.
The Commissioners are following the lead of ESPN. The 2019-2020 fantasy hockey season is complete. To be clear, there will be no extension of the season into 2020-2021. There will be no rolling over of the standings or funds to 2020-2021. All money will be paid out, and results will go into the record books.
If you did not read the ESPN explanation, it states that (for our league) the ESPN Fantasy Hockey regular season was fully completed on Sunday, March 10. ESPN has effectively thrown out the three days worth of fantasy hockey playoff games, and has used the regular season only to declare the league champion.
As such, these will be the final results of the 2019-2020 Fantasy Hockey Season:
Regular Season Champion: Porkchop Express (CHOP / panicfan / MC Retweet) - $10
League Playoff Champion: (by default) Porkchop Express (CHOP / panicfan68 / MC Retweet) - $80
