Sollys got a lot I watched with my dad growing up. Hodges got some good stuff too but the nostalgia factor takes it for me w sollys

Breaking this down category by category.

Drama- I love both these movies, but I can almost quote Breakfast Club from start to finish in it's entirety. 1-0 Hodge.

Comedy- C'mon son, this is a rout. Airplane's not only the best comedy of the 80's, it might be the best of all time. 1-1

Thriller/Horror- Is The Untouchables a traditional horror movie? Of course not. Is it one of my favorite flicks of all time? Damn right. 2-1 Solly.

Action/Adventure- Close one but gotta go with Commando here. 3-1 Solly

Sci Fi/Fantasy- Abstain. I can't choose between these two classics (In different ways) and you can't fucking make me. 3-1-1

Family/Animated- Karate Kid all the way. 4-1-1 Solly.

Mystery/Suspense- Eddie Murphy is great, but I remember not liking The Golden Child at all. (Then again it's probably been 30 years since I've seen it.) Have to go with Fletch. 5-1-1 Solly.

Blockbuster- Jack and Keaton beat Sly and Mr. T. 5-2-1 Solly

Sequel- I HATE the fucking Ewoks with the power of a thousand suns, but the rest of the movie is great. And Rambo II kind of sucks. 5-3-1 Solly.

Best Picture Nominee- Rain Man easily. 6-3-1 Solly

Starring Best Actor/Actress Nominee- Have to go with Big here. 6-4-1 Solly

Sports: Bloodsport is great. Rocky IV is even better. 7-4-1 Solly

Wild Card: Young Guns is a very fun movie with a cast full of people I love. It's also unfortunately going against Eddie Murphy in his prime. 8-4-1 Solly.
