This took way too long. There has been no one else in wrestling who came along at a worse time than AJ. She was too late to be around for the first wave plus when WWE cared a bit with women like Trish, Lita, Mickie, and Beth and then she left too soon to be truly around for the revolution she helped cause. Her only true contemporary with talent is Paige and Paige had the benefit of NXT for a little bit before getting to the main roster and working with talent there and then sticking around for a few more years and at least getting a bit of time with some of the Horsewomen.
I don’t know if/when WWE will ever get to the point where the bridge has been re-built, but AJ deserves the call for a hall of fame nod.
I am assuming that the NAMEDROP conversation from earlier was AJ Lee, but I wasn't certain because someone said pre-NXT, when I knew she was on an original season of the NXT show, and also memorably lost her title to a debuting Paige... who came straight from NXT.
I agree with your superlatives and love AJ Lee, and wish we had more of her, although I would only slightly disagree in that I think Beth Phoenix is the one who suffered most without a peer.
And furthermore, I think what makes with Trish and AJ comparable is that they were stars for their storylines with men. Trish with (EDIT: AN OWNER), Bubba Ray, (EDIT: A MALE TAG TEAM), and Jericho/Christian. AJ with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk and Kane and John Cena and Dolph and Big E... and even a rub with (EDIT: An Owner); I remember that the whole Jericho-Trish storyline, I couldn't wait to tune in to see how Trish would respond. Likewise, I couldn't wait to see what AJ would do with Bryan and Punk. For at least a few weeks, those ladies were the absolute #1 stars of the show for a lot of people.

The NAMEDROP Dash and I were specifically talking about was not AJ. Though I did mention AJ in that post as the woman who was post-Trish who I found better than Trish in every way. I'm gonna disagree about Beth because at least early on she had Mickie and a non-shitty version of Natalya. I hope those two aren't name-drops but I don't want to look right now. She also had a duo that while not great is still better than the duo AJ had to carry to watchable segments.
Those are both namedrops (the first one was also mentioned a few posts higher). The first one is who I assumed was "better than Trish".
My next pick could be on someone's radar for this round, or they could drop into the 400s. I don't want to take the chance. Verse WALTER? Verse Ibushi? I like it.

Number 173 is available for trade. Reach out via PH messages or facebook messenger. I'm going to bed soon. It's been a long Day - my wife had back surgery today. She's doing great, everything's good; I'm just burned out.
I will respond in the morning if anyone reaches out. If not, I'll make my pick first thing tomorrow.

173. Shayna Baszler
I know Shayna has already fought Becky, but I think there's a story they haven't told yet. Also, legit headliner opponents for Becky are (in my opinion) getting pretty slim, so I need to grab one now.

Not who I meant, but I believe it is accurate as well. Though I understand the arguments against here a bit more as the stories for this person haven't been as good as Trish. Though that's mostly on creative and not on the person.
RJmap has clocked out based on first clock of the day rules (Cliff picked at 7:13 a.m., putting RJ up first at 8 a.m.). RJ has a floater, he can take at anytime. Solly is up and has been alerted.
Eric has been trying to get me to take him to pair him as Roman and Brock's other best friend 4ever for ROUNDS now. Thanks for removing the temptation.
For me next - this might be a slight reach (though maybe not even with the respect for older wrestlers in this draft), but I love the idea of having this guy against Roman or Lesnar.
178. Yokozuna
And from Eric - y'all are about to kick yourselves that you forgot about this guy and NAMEDROP:

I came real close to grabbing him a few picks ago.
