I've seen some incredibly negative reactions to this. I haven't read the death of Captain Marvel, so I'm not nearly as offended as a lot of people are. I do, however, feel that they should stop bringing characters back from the dead. It really takes away from the poignancy of the death when you know that the character is really only on hiatus.

(Of course, the above doesn't apply to a certain deceased thunder god.)

Treat yourself to a birthday present and go out and get "Death of CM". This is one book that's in my collection from waaaaaaaaay back and it's a very good read. And it will piss you off about his coming back (not that I'm reading anything now so I won't have to suffer through the convoluted story rationalizing this shit).

well, this thread does have a spoiler warning, so i might as well go all out...

when they were building the prison for unregistered heroes in the negative zone in civil war, captain marvel was accidently pulled from the past into the negative zone. they convinced him to stay there and act as warden of the N-zone prison.

so he's not back from the dead, he's just in his future.
