They swapped companies around the same time and both are now world champions. I think I could sell a main event of Cody and this guy. 31. Swerve Strickland
I was very shocked Edge dropped down that far. I've had him a few times in these, he's a good pick. And I was hoping Swerve would survive the turn there.
First debut: Trick Williams at #26 - went unpicked through the entire Pun's 2023 draft, and was taken in the subsequent Leftovers Draft* at 114. (So you could think of him as a jump from 914 to 26, which is probably as impressive as debuting in the top 30.)
New highs (all with a prior high last year):
MJF - #17, up three spots from a high of #20 last year.
Jey Uso - #20, up eighteen spots from a high of #38 last year.
Swerve Strickland, #31, up one-hundred and forty-three spots from #174 last year.
I was pretty surprised to find out Arn and DiBiase were not all-time highs, but DiBiase went #12 in Pun's 2009 (the first draft with a showdown) and Arn went #15 in Pun's 2012.
All-time lows:
Edge, at #30, has tied his all-time low (#30 in Pun's 2019). So you could say he had his all time low back then, and also, on this day (ISEECLEARLYEVERYTHINGHASCOMETOLIGHT)
There is one person left guaranteed to tie or match his all time low. After that, no one can hit a new low until the 60s.
*I would love to do a Leftovers Draft again this year, especially as I think the number of interesting active wrestlers who will not go in our Top 640 is quite high.
FN: I'm going to keep to the convention of listing people by the number they went notwithstanding autoskips, since people disappearing halfway is typical, but if Titan actually never appears, I may do a renumbering.)
