I was recommended this a few weeks ago, and picked up the issues from the current arc, and the trade of the first vol. 1 despite never really reading anything of the character except recent guest appearances in other titles, and it's a lot of awesome. Pulpy Kung Fu story on a superhero scale, epic, but with a great sense of adventure and the odd bit of humor in it. The first arc was about Danny Rand teaming up with the previous holder of the Iron Fist mantle to take on an alliance of his arch nemesis and Hydra:
Which has led into the current storyline of him representing one of the 7 Cities of Heaven in a tournament to decide which gets to show up on the mortal plane most frequently.
Plus the story is backed up with flashbacks going into the history of the Iron Fist, and it's previous wielders:
I'm not much of a Marvel guy, and I found it really accessible, and it's a really cool book, so get it.
