And Spaceballs was just a string of dumb jokes and gags. Maybe half of which succeeded in being funny. It is nowhere near Blazing Saddles when it comes to Mel Brooks movies, and it isn't as good as H&K, either.

The only reason I'd have ever even consider voting against Spaceballs is that Brooks never followed through on his promise of Spaceballs 3: The Search for Spaceballs 2.

Sure, M-kid. It was about nice-guy Harold growing a set and standing up to assholes and making a play for the girl he likes, and Kumar realizing that always doing the opposite of what your family wants means letting them control you just as much as always doing what they want. It's about race. And most importantly, it's about how hanging out with a good friend can make banal things like watching TV funny. I suppose weed can do that, too, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
