Airplane is mostly slapstick, which is good. Grail is historic satire. It is clever where Airplane is just blunt.

Agreed. My personal preferences aside, Airplane is probably the best opponent for Grail we put on the list.

My personal preferences not aside, it is a tragedy that Monty Python knocked off Men in Tights. TRAGEDY!!!

Airplane gets my vote. Holy Grail is a wonderful movie, but it isn't even the best of the Monty Python films-- that has to go to Life of Brian.
