I'm a HUGE Godfather fan but I just don't get into Godfather II nearly as much as some people. If this is the orginal it goes over ANY Rocky movie. But give me Rocky III in this matchup.

There's really nothing dramatic about Rocky giving Mickey's eulogy in Hebrew, no matter how hard Sly tried. Still this movie surprisingly has a lot of chill scenes: Clubber interrupting the statue ceremony, Rocky convincing Mickey to train him one last time, Mickey's death, Apollo training Rocky, the OMG BEACH HUG~!, Rocky and Clubber's staredown before the rematch. It's the best Rocky sequel not named Rocky Balboa but...

it's going against the best sequel ever. Ever. DeNiro as Young Vito, Michael taking out Fredo, Roth's speech about "This is the business we've chosen", it's right on par with the original.

That said, I'll give a mercy vote to III just because of the sheer awesomeness of one Clubber Lang who put it best when he said: "Don't give this sucka no statue, give him guts!"

Oh. Rocky III? I really, really, really loved Rocky III. I make no pretensions that it's a better movie, but it's just so enjoyable.

I love both movies. I do. But as much as I love Godfather II, I can't watch it over and over as I did Rocky III.

Still, when it comes down to it, Godfather II is the better movie, so I voted for it, but if it loses to Rocky III, I won't get mad.

To answer Mkid's question, the originals did make the cut. They're just on the other side of the bracket. Rocky's the other #1 seed. Funny thing is, it's first match-up is against Rocky II. At least one of those will be out.

As much as I love GFII, I really want to see RIII keep going, just for Mikey's Clubber impression. Rumor is if it makes it to Round 2, Mikey's gonna bust out Clubber's training montage.
