My Von Erich exposure was as Texas Tornado. I sort of liked him. I'm going with DDP who I enjoyed in WCW's dying days and also in his brief run in the WWE. I wish they had pushed him better in the E.

This has all the makings of you idiots that didn't understand Michael Hayes. Kerry should win this hands down. He made Texas wrestling when everything was regional. He was Texas' Jerry Lawler, Missouri's Harley Race, Florida's Dusty Rhodes, Portland's Roddy Piper and Buddy Rose, the Carribbean's Carlos Colon and Georgia's Michael Hayes.

I'm voting for DDP for one reason - his run when he first started getting face pops and getting more popular. Back when he still smoked the cigar but hadn't totally gone face yet. He was the shit during that time.

Like someone said above, I mainly knew of Kerry Von Erich when he was the Texas Tornado, which isn't enough to push him over Page for me. I gotta break this tie in Page's favor.

You know, this one was a tough one for me. If it was Kevin Von Erich, I'd probably have voted for him over DDP, as he was my fave Von Erich brother. I was happy for Kerry when he came to WWF as Texas Tornado, and sad that he died.

On the flip side, DDP was one of the best reasons to watch WCW. Even before he became the scrappy underdog main eventer who fought against the NWO with nearly no allies. I liked him when he was the rich asshole, liked him when he was the rich asshole who lost all his money, hell, I even liked him when he managed Scott Hall as The Diamond Studd and when he managed Bad Company in AWA. I also rooted for DDP when he came to WWF, and really wish they treated him better. An immediate feud with the Undertaker which should've been better than it was. DDP is also the only reason Kanyon was ever interesting. I did like the "It's not a bad thing it's a good thing" Page, but a shame that a former WCW champion involved in one of WCW's biggest feuds of all time was merely feuding over the European Title (but at least it was with Christian).

So as someone who watched both WCCW and WCW, I can say this... I'm voting for DDP. And now that I think about it, I would've voted DDP over Kevin Von Erich, too. I loved Von Erich/Freebirds, but it was because of the Freebirds.

DDP was definitely a personal favorite of mine. I'd say he was probably the best main event level wrestler in WCW from 1997-2001.
