Nah, it won't be from me. I mean COULD I make a case for AJ? Yeah, probably. TNA Tag Champ 5 times with 4 different partners, all 4 teams being pretty cool/awesome/fun (Lynn, Abyss, Daniels, Tomko). The Lynn feud that basically put TNA and the X Division on the map. The first truly "homegrown" player to win the NWA Title. The gold over the last year. His ROH work. Hell, the WCW CW Tag Title Tournament and Division.

But it IS Bret Hart. I'm just gonna throw my vote to AJ because I remain undecided and I'm pretty sure Bret's gonna win this one without my help.

When I used to play wrestle as a kid I always mimicked Bret Hart. I performed the five moves on doom to my Ultimate Warrior and Macho King wrestling buddies hundreds of times. And I also got in trouble plenty for putting my sister in the Sharpshooter. Immation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

this is one of those matches that I wish we could see. Bret was my favorite wrestler for a long time, and even though I think AJ is just about the best thing going in wrestling right now, Bret gets my vote.

I'm not the biggest Bret fan and I currently love AJ but Bret's history is greater than AJ's future at the moment. I really think if we look at this in a year or two and they've turned the corner with AJ as a comic-sidekick to main event superstar, I'd vote AJ, but in early 2008, it's still Bret...unfortunately.
