Funny! My wife and I never took one of those dinner cruises when we lived there, but we had an apartment on Panay and our balcony overlooked the Marina. So we'd be out smoking cigars (insert joke here) and watch them go araound the marina all the time.

Met him when I lived in Marina del Rey, CA back in the mid/late 90's at a movie rental place. His then girlfriend was that hot blond chick who llived in Marina del Rey so he was there a lot for obvious reasons. I asked for an autograph. He countered by asking if I knew what movie had just had its actor win the Best Actor Oscar. I said "that Shine guy." Victory.

And I had the opp to be at the 9/11/2006 Raw in MSG backstage pre-show party. I had posted this one OOVer there way back in that show's thread. I'm a Christian, and obviously HBK is, so got to spend about 5 minutes chatting 1:1 with him about wrestling in general, his Christianity, and the challenges of being openly Christian. When Eddie died, I had let HBK know my first question/concern was....was he a Christian since I didn't know anything about Eddie's faith, but then on the Eddie tribute show on Raw, HBK confirmed that he was and I thanked him for that. It's not often that fans and wrestlers talk religion so the experience of meeting one of my all time favorites..and then being able to have a real, non-superficial discussion with the guy was a pretty awesome experience all around.

I met Hall and Nash on the strand in Santa Monica at the start of the NWO invasion angle. They were out walking the strand obviously promoting a show for that Monday.

Ah, cool stuff. I remember both of those stories from OO, I just didn't recall who they were from.

I met Michaels at an autgraph signing in November of 1996. I was 9 and in fucking awe. He asked me how I was and I stammered out a "fine" and he just smiled, signed my magazine, gave me another big grin, said "There you go, buddy" and I was gone. Pretty awesome experience for a kid in freaking Newfoundland and he seemed like a good guy.

Come to think of it, I've never once heard a bad word about him with fans, only about his backstage behaviour.
