This is always a topic of discussion on the ROH boards. DVD sales is still a huge source of revenue, so I don't imagine we'll ever see full shows get released in any other manner. I've always pushed for a subscription service with more content weekly, maybe for $9.99 per month. Release a few matches per week, including old "classics" featuring stars that have moved on. You could release a match per day, so 7 releases per week for $9.99 a month is a good deal and would give them another good source of revenue. I don't know what the breakeven would be, but it's another way to take advantage of their footage and make money from it.

ROH has always seemed to not be too interested in expanding. On one hand its kind of admirable. They do something well and they stick with it. Gabe was in ECW and he doesn't over extend himself like Heyman routinely did. DVD sales work and support the company. If it ain't broke.

But the audience always seems so small. I mean, I like ROH but I'm not buying a DVD or two a month. Sorry. No dice. I buy them sporadically and otherwise follow on the web. A subscription or on demand service definitely would be tempting but I guess they don't want to take on the cost. Couldn't charge on youtube and downloads would end up on torrent sites quick enough anyway. I don't know.

They did start up the PPVs so I guess its not like they're not trying to draw in a broader audience. I certainly wouldn't want them to change anything or risk their bread and butter. But Lord knows I'd like a way to follow ROH and watch it that doesn't destroy my wallet (or stand illegal and make me feel bad).

As a person that just watched his first ROH wire thing, I'll just say it was nice that they put up names as people entered so I'd know who was there. Without announcers or that, and I would have continued to have no idea who anyone was. Props to them for that.

Here's a ROH video but it strikes me as a lot of crap. Sweet N Sour Inc with Brent Albright. A Jimmy Jacobs promo on Austin Aries that even Dev said sucked. Some nothing Briscoes promo that gives a stupid explanation for the titles being vacant. And one of the silliest characters I've ever seen Delirious ask out Daizee Haze only to be interrupted by what might be the silliest character I've ever seen in Rhett "Addicted to Love" Titus.

But people's tastes differ. So maybe you'll like it.

TNA posted old Slammiversary matches up on Youtube. Mixed quality but its free PPV matches. The best of the bunch is probably America's Most Wanted vs AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels from 2006.



They got 3 of the 4 King of the Mountain matches up, which makes sense since its a tough match to figure so giving out free examples of it is a good way to get people on page with it. Last year's was probably the best of them. No champ. Angle vs Joe vs AJ vs Christian vs Chris Harris.

I really don't much care for the TNA Spin Cycles (round table discussions) but this one stands out a bit. I really only watched it because it was all women with Traci Brooks, Salinas, Gail Kim, and ODB but I still don't really care what they think about the iPhone. But I guess some people enjoy this stuff and these are some amusing personalities that are nice to look at. ODB and Salinas are kind of insane. And Disco Inferno shows up. And the fuck? Shark Boy with Rock 'n' Rave?

TNA's web content is really insane.



But damn. 30 minutes? Supposedly TNA wants to convince Spike to make this a real show so I guess they upped the time.

Actually, I 100% did it with you in mind. But rest assured that no matter how much I may disagree with the guy I still am a HUGE fan and I marked out watching him hook in that rolling Canadian Maple Leaf and the superkick.
