Super Smash Brothers Brawl! My life has been taken over by Super Smash Brothers Brawl!

I forsake my budget and picked this up on the day of launch, and I just got internet at my new home to play online.

Please use this thread for the exchangening of Smash Brothers codes and chat- the general all-purpose thread seems more facebook-y and myspacey so far, and I think subsetting this one into it's own thread is best.

And since I did say "And discussion:"

I was blown away by Subspace Emissary mode's expansiveness, since I wasn't expecting anything but a re-hash of the previous game's classic mode. I played the whole thing through co-op and had a lot of fun with it- all the solo modes that you can play co-op are actually a lot more fun that way.

I feel like the game's a little slower depending on what level you're on, even though I haven't heard any other reviews mention that. It took me a little getting used to, but as I play this more and more and Melee less, I'm sure I won't notice. It's weird also playing this with a Gamecube controller, since all the other control schemes don't feel intuitive at all; I wouldn't have expected that Smash Bros made me wish I had a Wavebird.

The game itself though is really, really good; probably the reason to own a Wii at the moment.

I'll be posting my Smash friend code as soon as I get home from work in another post. I hope to see some other people's codes on here by then; I want more people to play!

I picked this up on the way home from work and beat the classic mode on Normal with Samus. I played the N64 version endlessly in college, but never played the Gamecube one. So it's probably been about 4 years since I touched the game, but once I figured out the controls a bit things came back to me. It actually was much easier than I remembered. I haven't touched the adventure mode yet.

My 5 year old Draven started playing the Gamecube version about a year ago and we'd play together.

I picked up Brawl last Tuesday and so far we've only been playing the Subspace Emmisary mode since I read you can unlock all the characters that way instead of playing billions of matches.

So far it seems rather good and I would've never thougt playing with the wiimote and nunchuk would be as intuitive as the gamecube controller.

I haven't even plugged my gamecube controller in yet

dxb, there are 3 character that you cannot unlock via the Subspace Emmisary mode, but you can unlock a heck of a lot of characters.

I'll post my friend code sometime this week.

Actually, the other three characters are in Subspace Emmisary, you just have to finish it and go back in to find them. It's a lot easier than going through the Classic mode just to get one shot at beating them. Especially Toon Link. That little bitch.
