The main story right now is the GM the Rick vs. LJ Bennett Civil War.
Basically here is the story. LJ Bennett was one of the original NPC characters when the OOWF started, I think he was the money behind Grunt and LI. Anyway, when the OOWF was looking to hire a GM after Ecosystem left, Bennett assumed he would get the job. Instead, the job went to GM the Rick and Bennett was given a lesser roll on the board of directors. This worked well enough, but Bennett eventually decided he wanted more, so he resigned his position on the board of directors.
So, in 2007 LJ Bennett formed the PHWF which used original talent, as well as some OOWF talent. This did not sit well with GM the Rick, and he forced OOWF competitors to sign no-compete clauses, essentially killing the PHWF after only three months of existence.
Bennett sued the OOWF and eventually a settlement was reached out of court that would allow him to come back as the Head of the Board of Directors for the OOWF, essentially giving him final say on all things OOWF related.
In the meantime, GM the Rick was humming along pretty smoothly until the summer of 2007 when he had several clashes with Chris Cole, and took those confrontations personally. Rick and Cole were at each other's throats, and eventually Rick pushing Cole, and punishing him for his disobediences would lead Cole to leave the OOWF.
Fast forward to December of 2007 and we have what was being billed as the final match between Moosehead Jack and Concrete TG. Crete wins a horrifically grueling match, then after the match announces that he is leaving the OOWF for the WWE. Part of the stipulation on the match was that if Moose lost, he would have to issue a public apology to Crete in the center of the ring the following week. Moose comes out and of course dogs the apology, which brings Rick out. He accuses Moose of running off the most marketable man in the OOWF, and holds Moose solely responsible, and promises to make his life hell, much like he had done to Chris Cole.
Meanwhile, there were people making noise about not liking the direction the company was headed, that Rick was becoming too involved in things for his own good. Eric O'Mac was the one leading the charge. Over several weeks we would see promos with various OOWF wrestlers talking to a mysterious man, a benefactor. Finally, Eric revealed that he had brought LJ Bennett back to the OOWF from the board room, and along with him The Heels made their return to the OOWF. It was made clear that Bennett and Eric would settle for nothing less than to bring Rick down from power.
As things have gone on, Bennett has built an army of Eric O'Mac, LD Williams, The Dead, The Heels and Moosehead Jack. GM the Rick has enlisted the support of Davin Moreland, Phantos & Lucios, Firechild, Bunny, Chris Cole (who had left the OOWF with the uberspiritual Seraph and come back a changed man) and LOADED (F.F. MacCappington, Donovan Viper, Ecosystem and Ryan Hardcore)
UPDATE: Chris Cole turned his back on GM the Rick and sided with LJ Bennett. Cole attacked Rick inside a steel cage, helped by the rest of Bennett's Army (which now included LOADED thanks to an earlier swerve in the MADNESS ppv). It was revealed that the whole thing was a set up all along, Cole sided with Rick to get close to him, and Moose challenged the Rick knowing Cole would get him in the cage AND knowing that Concrete would be lured back to the OOWF thus giving up his WWE title shot at Wrestlemania.
Shortly after MADNESS, with Rick out of action because of the beating, and Stank and Davin unwilling to take the GM position, Ecosystemy was approached about reclaiming his spot as the GM. He accepted and jumped to Rick's side as co-GM with Erlana.
In addition to that, Bennett gave the edict that you are either with us or against us, which has somewhat driven Drink & Destroy to Rick's side, but that is not confirmed.
