ASHEVILLE – Authorities Wednesday arrested an Asheville man wanted in New Jersey on multiple charges stemming from alleged sexually explicit conversations on the Internet.
David J. Schwartzburt, 25, of Woodridge Lane, is charged in Bergen County, N.J., with 14 counts of attempted endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of attempted sexual assault, according to documents filed at the Buncombe County Magistrate’s office.
Schwartzburt had sexually explicit conversations on the Internet with a person he believed was a 14-year-old girl, the warrant shows.
Buncombe County Sheriff’s deputies also charged Schwartzburt with solicit child by computer. His bond was set at $200,000.
