Little bookstore near work has alot of their used titles on sale for $4-$10 bucks. a good number of wrestling books in the mix.

I have read Flairs, Bischoffs, Rocks, Michaels, & Dusty's

Any suggestions?

Foley's books are always fun to read.

Yeah, if you haven't read Foley's two books, those are MUST READS.

Skip Austin's, it's VERY Hard to read.

Heenan's first book isn't bad. and if you get REALLY lucky and Jericho's book is there, Get it. Read it. Twice.

Foley's first one is fantastic with all sorts of funny stories from the road and slumming it on the indy scene and in Japan. The DDP cookie story, the one about Leatheface and the powerbomb, and the Brickhouse Brown gun story were hilarious. That, and it just tells a REALLY good tale. There's a reason it is the standard bearer for wrestling books.

Do they have Chyna's? That's a good read if you're on a 2nd grade reading level.

Otherwise, Foley is God.

Not as good, but quite interesting. The angle he lays down sounded great, getting to see it slowly dismantled is really weird.

If you can get around his creepy infatuation with Melina, it's an interesting read. I couldn't, so it doesn't have much re-readability as his first two.

I read all three Foley books recently, and the first two are must buys. The third one is still good, different from the last two, and I'd reccomend it, but I wouldn't call it a must buy.

Edge's book is ok, Death of WCW is a good book if you like reading about WCW's failures.

Jericho's book is a book I'd put up there with Foley's first book. I liked Lawler's book as well.

I read bits and pieces of Batista's book. it seemed interesting and it's something I may check out in time.

Also, can someone explain to me what Mick Foley's booking idea was? I have no plans on reading his third book.

I'll have to go pull the book to get the details, but I think Foley was supposed to make Terry Funk join the Kiss My Ass Club but bite Vince to get him over as a huge crazy face. After he screwed up the beginning of his first promo back Vince vetoed the whole thing an it basically became Edge & Foley against Dreamer with Heyman doing a lot more talking than Funk

They were yelling at each other, as wrestlers do, and Funk was repeatedly asking him a question and transferred into saying he knew the answer then back into asking him the question. Or the other way around. Either way it wasn't a disaster, they recovered, and the rest of the segment passed without incident.

So, I was about to list a bunch of stuff on the swapping sites I posted about (OMG! SELF PROMOTION!) and I have the Bret Hart^taken and Chris Jericho books. Both of them are wish listed on both sites, so as soon as I post them they'll be spoken for, but I figured I'd let the Pun's House faithful, whom are much more entertaining, get a crack at them first.

I'm offering them up for trade or sale. A book for a book, graphic novel, trade paperback, DVD, whatever, something of comparable value you have laying around and no longer want. I've had them both for just shy of 8 months (Xmas) and they've both been read twice. Jericho looks like a copy you would walk out of a Borders with, the Hart one has has the back top of the dustjacket folded because I take them off when I read books and it fell off the shelf. Um...they come from a non-smoking home if you're the type who reads with your nostrils.

I ended up getting Foley is Good and the Mankind Book.. (something & sweatsocks.. dont remember, its in the truck) and the Death of WCW book.

Other choices were Adam Copeland on Edge and the Triple H Bodybuilding book.

Havent finished anything

and I HIGHLY reccomend Bischoff's book. Most wrestlers books come off VERY self serving (HBK especially) but this one didnt seem that way to me.

Bischoff's was interesting if you can get past the "my shit don't stink" POV - I dunno it he meant to write it in kayfabe or if he truly believed it. Either way, I liked it and I'm someone who wasn't even a big WCW fan.

I read Hunter's book and it's half-stories, half-workout tips. It's a little hard to read but I enjoyed it. Then again, I'm a bit of a HHH fan anyway....
