I'm baffled by the SF Alpha 3 cover. Is Zangief considered a big selling point?

I loved Zangief. He did a piledriver. I didn't even like wrestling then.

I have never played either. I played Street Fighter 2 plenty. God of War looks coller but I never got around to playing any of them. My vote is up for grabs for anybody making a convincing argument.

Except Zangief's piledriver was more like a powerbomb, since they landed on their shoulders/back more than they're head.

I'm just shocked SF3 got on the list and not SFII, SFII', or SFII New Challengers, which were better games.

SFII is on the list. In fact, it's 5th.

I believe that everyone went with the first SFII because it would be silly to put that, SFII:CE, SFII:HF, SSFII, and SSFIITurbo all on our lists. since they're just expansions of the first one.

I always have preferred the regular Street Fighter series over the Alpha series. I played a whole lot more SFII in the arcades and at home than I ever played any of the Alpha games. Hell, I might have played SF3 more than the Alpha games.

Excellent voice-acting
Great graphics
Great sound and music score
Solid, flowing combat system
Good storyline
Countless awards

Street Fighter Alpha 3:

Great fighting game
Huge cast of characters
Innovative 3-style combat system

Unless you love fighting games and can't stand platforming games, the obvious choice is God of War
