We have another of the crown jewels of the Mario empire, #2 Super Mario World, going against #15 Gorf. Are you serious? That's actually the name of the game? Someone explain.

Per wiki, it stands for "Galactic Orbiting Robot Force." I never knew that. (Or wondered, really.)

I can not emphasize enough just how cool this game is.

I might have played that game. Or I might have played a bunch of games that looked exactly like it. Either way, while i have nothing against 8 bit arcade games the reality is that the industry evolved. And not too many games showed that evolution like Super Mario World.

Agreed. I wish system-makers would remember that back in the day we'd buy a damn game system BECAUSE the pack-in game WAS their killer app.

The SNES was no exception, Super Mario World is still awesome to this day...

I hated Gorf. Galaga was much better. I didn't care if there were multiple levels. Galaga was more fun.
SMW is another easy choice here. I loved playing that game. I liked being able to go back and forth between levels, and unlocking Star Road. Good times.
