Check this out. This is part 1 of a fan-made Ghostbusters feature-length film. I highly recommend this, and I'm only through about the first 30 minutes of it. Holy crap! For a fan-made film, the FX are amazing. The score mixes some of the old Ghostbuster movie music and newly created soundtrack music. The acting is a little wooden at times, but the story is good so far. This is probably just about the most amazing fan film I've ever seen.
The general idea is, Egon Spengler's nephew, Ed, moves to Denver, CO and opens his own Ghostbusters franchise, with two friends. The three of them fight off the usual ghosts and goblins, but it appears that an archaeologist in town has uncovered some ancient Egyptian ruins, and has plans for evil with regards to the power from these ruins.
Just FYI, this cast and crew also made a previous attempt at a fan-film called Freddy VS. Ghostbusters. It was shorter and less entertaining, but still worth checking out for a few laughs.
Oh, and the greatest part of this? The people who wrote this stuff have the exact same love and appreciation for movie and pop culture references that those in my circle of friends has. Movie and TV quotes and references galore!

(Like I said, this is part 1... you should be able to find part 2, etc, from the 'Related Videos' list on the right side.)
I'm not a big fan of these fan-made movies but this one was pretty damn good... I like the nod to the original around the 6 minute mark.
I still hope they revive this series with Rogen, Rudd, Jonah, and maybe Craig Robinson.
Yeah... did you watch anything beyond part 1? There's all sorts of nods to the originals. Part 6 has a quirky little discussion about the Batman movies in it. Hilarious.
