-- TNA has signed Akira Raijin of All Japan Pro Wrestling to a two-year contract. He will be doing indy dates in the United States as well. Although, undercard wrestlers only get paid when they work, and there is no minimum amount of dates. In recent months, TNA has signed the likes of Doug Williams, B-Boy and Cody Deaner, and all three wrestlers still have yet to be used. Also, there aren't any significant guarantees in their contracts, so there is no rush to use them. Jarrett told Terry Taylor to sign him after seeing him several months ago in a dark match.

They signed B-Boy?! Last I checked I thought he was "retired"? Now I remember them signing Williams and even though I don't know Raijin and Deaner from Adam I can find info on TNA signing both. But B-Boy? How'd that go unnoticed?

Like I said, I never heard of Deaner and Raijin but if its true that these 4 are signed to TNA they could have a major overhaul of the X Division coming soon. That ref Shane Something is supposed to become a wrestler too.

I was shocked when I read the B-Boy report last week, too. I remember when his retirement match was scheduled for PWG, and he had to cancel due to injury, and had reported that his last match happened before that in JAPW.

I believe this practice was used by WCW back in the day. They would sign talents and pay them to stay at home, keeping them from signing with the WWE. Glen Gilbertti and Alan Funk had these types of contracts prior to debuting. I think Gilbertti was under contract for over 2 years prior to his first appearance.

It's crazy how much like WCW TNA can be. If you watch the History of TNA: Year 1 DVD, so much of what they cite as influencing how they run is related to WCW.

MTA: Referee Shane Sewell is Glamour Boy Shane of Puerto Rico fame. Apparently they've had a plan to use him for over a year now. I noticed he wasn't on the Vegas Impact, but that might be a travel thing. He lives in Florida and travels to Puerto Rico. He worked one of our shows in AZ, he was flown in by the NWA as part of the tournament in June 2007. At that time he wanted to get on as a ref with the WWE. Obviously he ended up with TNA. Despite being in his late 30's, early 40's, he's still a good worker and cuts a fantastic promo. Search for Glamour Boy Shane on YouTube.

B-Boy's been out of retirement since mid-year. He's wrestled 3 or 4 czw shows as far as I know.

Indy "star." Pretty good in the wrong, nothing out of the world, but he's got a decent look and he can work a stiffer style. And he'd be a great fit for LAX especially if they wanted to consider giving Hernandez a singles look. I believe he used to tag with Homicide in JAPW as The Strong Style Thugs.

Yeah, I'd love to see him join up with LAX and let he, Cide, and Hernandez mix and match. Not only letting Hernandez work solo but Cide in the X division. But I also have a secret hope that AJ name dropping Daniels and Low Ki's names repeatedly means that they're "returning" to join with Joe and AJ (since Daniels is already there and Ki has had a good working relationship with them including with the Suicide stuff). So any combination of LAX, Low Ki, and B-Boy makes me happy. Not to mention AJ/Daniels and XXX. I need to turn someone heel in my fantasy booking so they can all wrestle.

Joe and AJ bring Ki and Daniels in to help them against the Main Event Mafia, Ki turns on Daniels to join LAX with B-Boy and an LAX army run around as kickass tweener rebels. That would make me care about wrestling again.

I could see this, and would love it as well. You have the faces win vs. the Main Event Mafia, then Ki immediately turns during the celebration, leading to an LAX beatdown of Joe, AJ & Daniels. B-Boy then joins to give them a one man advantage during the subsequent six-man tag. LAX would have crazy heel heat at that point, and could compete in each division of TNA (except the "Legends Division," which is stupid anyway).

Then you can eventually blow off Joe, AJ, Daniels & someone (a returning Kazarian maybe?) vs. LAX's Homicide, Hernandez, Low-Ki & B-Boy in the Lethal Lockdown. That would be insane.
