From everything I've read about the movies and I haven't seen a lot, it seems the biggest surprise in the Best Actress category is Winslet's nomination. Not that she received one since that was clearly obvious, but that it was The Reader over Revolutionary Road. It seems as if this was going to be her year to win, but then the committee went and picked the movie everyone thought was her second best performance of the year. I think that opens the race a great deal and for this I hope Hathaway wins and then we can have anal sex together. With Marisa Tomei. At the divey strip club where Tomei works and that I've been to.

While Tomei's performance in The Wrestler was good, I don't think it's Oscar worthy. Even if it was, she already won an Oscar for a performance that didn't deserve it, so she shouldn't win here in any case to balance it out.

The song qualified but did not receive a high enough score to get the nomination; only three songs total scored high enough. (Which is way there aren't five as normal.) So essentially voters didn't think the
