My uncle is a musician/composer out in San Diego. He's been out there for many MANY years now doing mainly smallish stuff, but he recently got his big break as Music Director for "The Threepenny Opera". He's the only person I've ever known personally who can play the accordion, and he tears that shit up. Hell, last time we saw him he amused us by playing some Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd on the damn thing. He's also an insane pianist.

The guy is one of the most interesting people I know. He has a master's degree in Chemistry from Northwestern, but music has always been his passion. So any of you out in the SoCal area, go check out his work.



And for those wondering who John Linnell is, he's half of the founding duo of They Might Be Giants.

You coulda easily put my grandmother into that band too, because she actually played the accordion on the bar circuit here in Florida. She made a boatload of money playing bars that way in the 60s/70s. She also "tore that shit up" on the accordion. :-)
