32. What's the one defining moment in your life when you look back thus far?
33. Why?
Two speeches come to mind--the speech I gave for student council president in my high school and the speech I gave debating against Dr. Ron Lindsay of the Council for Secular Humanism on the value of religion in government. Both experiences gave me a lot of faith in my ability to communicate my ideas to others and to use rhetoric well.
34. Do you regret anything in your life thus far?
35. Would you change your action looking back?
35. Would you change your action looking back?
No major choice comes to mind. I regret and would change a lot of little failings--lies, acting out in anger, etc.--but those will always be part of my life in some fashion.
.1. I'm coming to visit. What is the best place to eat that is special to your area (that is a area specialty, or shit I ain't getting in Chicago)?
Louis' Lunch invented the hamburger. Seriously. Check it out on Wikipedia. We're going. I'm not a huge fan, but Pepe's in New Haven was one of the original pizza places in America and is still going strong today.
2. What are we gonna do?
Besides eat? Well, my dorm has a pretty sweet arcade/pool room we can use for a bit, and then the Toad's club has really popular music acts from across the country all the time--usually one really famous a week.
Firewoman:
If I'm reading you right, the reason I'm not Christian (even though I started that way) is because the Christians around me weren't good enough Christians? So does that mean they'll be going to hell and I'll be hanging in the clouds?
Actually, kinda. I used to conceive of Hell as only a place for bad Christians, because they chose to sin while believing that what they did was wrong. In this context though, that would only hold if they drove you away through their hateful actions. If they simply could not provide you with persuasive arguments that could convince you intellectually that Jesus Christ is Lord, no foul for anyone.
(okay, that was mostly tongue in cheek, but I can't ask you my usual stock questions....)
If your stock questions are like what you asked WLD, some would be relevant. Have to do SOMETHING interesting if you're not having sex...
As far as other religions you'd consider, you know, we druids are often called the Catholics of the Neopagan world, what with all our organization and high rituals.....
I'm unfamiliar with druids--Wikipedia says Wiccanism is related, and I've dated in those circles.
oh, three articles of clothing you can't live without?
My hallmark is usually bright clothing, so I'll say my bright blue hoodies, my blue and orange striped hoodie, and my bright green shirts.
What do you wear to sleep in?
Usually whatever I wore that day, as disgusting as that is. In college, I tend to collapse on a couch wherever I am at around 4 AM.
Boxers or briefs?
Both, though I prefer boxers if I'm going to be mostly-naked around someone else.
Salmonjunkie:
Who is your favorite wrestler?
Kurt Angle around 2000-2001 and The Rock around his final run are my absolute favorite characters, but Chris Jericho is the only one I can think of that I have enjoyed in nearly every incarnation. In general, the goofy heel.
If you were a wrestler, what would be your finishing move? Your pose? Your ring name?
The thing I listed for OOWF--elbow to neck from a dragon sleeper--is sort of perfect. Anything that you could pull out quickly without much set-up. I like the Jericho/Orton poses--both arms outstretched. For a name, I'd want to keep something close to my regular name, so Chris [Something Short and Italian].
What is your favorite wrestling memory?
My dad took me to see Smackdown when I was really young, and even if the seats weren't great, I was so excited to be there. Batista debuted that night, and Randy Orton had either his second or third match.
What is your least favorite movie of all time?
The Break-Up with Vince Vaughn is the Worst Fucking Movie Ever Fucking Made. The whole thing is just a vague downer--not funny, and not sad enough to be moving.
If you could be any kind of pro athlete, what would you be, what would be your position, and what would be your number?
Small forward in basketball. And I'd beg for something dorky, like i or pi.
Your favorite sporting moment?
So I actually follow women's tennis sometimes, and when Maria Sharapova won Wimbledon at 17, I thought it was really cool that someone only three years older than me was able to pull that off.
Your least favorite sporting moment?
The Yale-Harvard game this year, when Yale went way down early on after some AWFUL playing.
Do you have any diseases/ailments?
I may have mild almond and dust allergies, but that's about all.
What is your drink of choice?
Non-alcoholic, Snapple. Alcoholic, weak mixer with Gatorade since I don't drink much.
What is your drug of choice?
Caffeine? I don't actually use anything illicit.
Who's your favorite rapper?
I'm so very mainstream...I like Lil' Flip, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem, Kanye West, Ludacris, etc. Eminem probably wrote the most I listen to, but I strongly dislike a lot of his work.
If I were to come out and visit, where would you take me to eat?
See above, Louis' Lunch.
Other forums you frequent?
Besides this and OO? Nothing, except sometimes lurking movie art sites.
If you could be on a reality show, which one would you be on? Why?
Big Brother. I'm very good at interpersonal relationships.
The ice cream truck is coming down the street, and you've got 2 bucks! What ice cream would you get?
Mint Chocolate Chip if they have it. Otherwise, just the Chipwich will do.
DXB Again:
RedDog. What is the most surprising thing you've learned from the 11 months of PH's Q&A?
I've only read WLD's, but I found it surprising that he was uncomfortable for a time using curse words even in the context of OOWF posts.
4. Favorite swear word?
4Prime. Favorite replacement swear word (ie Fiddidlidy Dee for Fuck)
4Prime. Favorite replacement swear word (ie Fiddidlidy Dee for Fuck)
Fuck does everything. Gee Whilikers is a personal favorite.
R. I'm paying for a tattoo of any size anywhere on your body from my artist. What do you get and where?
I'll second WLD and go Cross, shoulder. Though if it wasn't so creepy, I like the movie that originated the Love/Hate across the knuckles.
