I was going to question why he had that a handicap when I first noticed it last week but then I realized its just Gator's continued O'Haire/Russo/Thrillers thing where they're not only the only "legitimate" team in the tournament, not only have an essential bye against midgets, but also have a numbers advantage. Horrible exaggeration of Russo at his worst, I guess.

I echo the sentiments about Eric's card. I like BRs enough and I get that he's hoping to advance, but it strikes me as lazy and a waste. BRs are fine but don't entice me. Also there's only 1 man in that elimination match I give a shit about. The tag tourney is solid though, even if I never cared for Doring and Roadkill. Its a very meh card to me but not necessarily a bad one.

Byrne's card I really don't like. The light heavyweight match and the Joe/Tanaka match (although that's hardly a "dream" match to me) are really the only matches on that card I have any remote interest in. And I like a fair number of those people but its just the combinations, gimmicks, and matchups that kill a lot of it for me. And man, this is the 2nd Tag Tournament I'm looking at that I basically hate and for a ridiculous tag mark like me who threw together a very underwhelming tag tournament I thought that would be impossible. But the only one of those tag teams I don't respond to with total apathy or outright disdain is Homicide's team. And that's only because I know the guy underneath that stupid mask and gimmick is B-Boy and that the two of them are ACTUALLY a good tag team in the Strong Style Thugs. I don't know if you didn't realized that, Byrne, and its just a weird coincidence or if its your goofy sense of humor to put him in a mask and call them the "Lucha Thugs." But given your weird sense of humor and your request for a rap theme (I was busy, sorry) I'd suggest some reggaeton from the likes of Daddy Yankee.

But it really doesn't matter because Gator's card is just so unbelievably bad I'm amazed it has any votes even if they were born out of spite or a wacky sense of humor.

In my match writeup, Mike Sanders is actually at the announce table for the match. So it's technically not a handicap match, but still very, very Russo-esque.

With that out of the way...

I gave my other vote to Byrne because he does have a kickass Light Heavyweight match where as Gator's fed lives up to its name very well and that's not a good thing.

I realize that a Royal Rumble match might seem like a cop-out, but I promise you, it's not. My theory is that in the first round, I'd have an easier time getting out, BUT, that we LOVE Royal Rumbles. Chat fills up every year during the Rumble. Throw in a sweet little tag tournament and a four way elimination match (where the winner should be obvious) and I don't feel that my card isn't half bad. Maybe not great. But the Rumble alone should be worth the price of admission and I promise, when I post the results (probably towards the end of the week) you won't be terribly disappointed, and the next two main events will be something you want to see.

Sorry about that. I should have remembered Carey but I just glossed over your stuff to see announcers and all I saw were Finkel and Washington. And really I'm apologizing for the Windham/Taylor screw up since that's pretty stupid on my part. But I was writing that card out based on pictures and it was towards the back so I plead fatigue.
