Anyway.. the Zune HD is awesome. Beautiful interface. Wireless Synch. Slick Zune Quickplay which IMO gives Pandora a run for it's money, and those awesome artists screens that come up for each individual song you play, are quite simply outstanding, a gimmick, but a marvelous one.

Sure it doesn't have as many apps an Ipod touch has, but given time I'm sure the Zune will get there.

My only minor complaint is storage. I got the 32GB version and have downloaded several movies and music videos. I can see already I'm going to need more room.

I also like the free HD Radio tuner. Handy when it's in my car.

True - it won't beat my XM but really, it's free.

The Zune's app store will never rival Apple's...because Microsoft keeps pushing WinMo on developers.

Which is a shame..because a Zune Phone would kill. And sadly THEY HAVE THE DEVICE READY TO GO!!!

Why Microsoft doesn't come out with the damn Pink phone beyond me. A cohesive approach to a mobile OS like the iPhone makes more sense. Hell, even RIM does a better job. Microsoft has a chance to beat Google at something (I've yet to hold an Android phone that makes me want one), and to kill off Palm.

30th b-day is in a couple weeks. I fully plan to spend b-day money on the 32Gb. Nice to hear positive reviews so far.

(I've got the OLD 30Gb one (in brown, even) and it's still holding up well. I'll pass that along to the wife when I get the HD.)

Picked it up this past weekend. Fucking beautiful device.

Only weird thing: I get HD Radio in the car and at home, but not at work. Could it be because the included Zune HD headphones function as an antenna or something? I'm using SkullCandy ones at work.

Now if only I could find a good single (and free) program to rip DVD movies for play on the device. Using DVD Decrypter and another program currently. Anybody have a suggestion?
