So, all tied up. Here's my brief pitch against the Dark Cabal:

How does the Dark Cabal make sense as a team? Individually the Cabal has some great Villains. But as a unit I do not see how they would work. Putting aside that Osborne killed Veranke, even if they didn't why would she work with humans. She led an attempt to conquer the human race. Why would she follow or work with humans?

The Governor is a creeper who would want to control the masses and would not follow anyone's lead. The man does not like to be challenged. He would try to kill the other six, fail miserably, and be killed himself.

Ultron is the same thing in my mind. Leader, not a follower and would attempt to take out the others at first chance.

I don't know enough about Lady Bullseye or Two-Face other than to say of the six these two would perhaps would work under Osborn.

I don't know how this group would ever come together, let alone function.

Cause no one ever said the team had to work long-term. Besides I think the Mystique/Venom/Purple Man trio has a lot more issues than anything I put together.

Yeah, I think both have really obvious chemistry issues. And I still don't get the Governor's role in this. But I also still have a problem with Venom since he shouldn't be Venom. So I've abstained thus far and I still can't win myself over to a side.

My point is that I don't see the Dark Cabal ever coming together in the first place. Say what you will about dynamics within the Syndicate, I could see them coming together even for a short term. I tried to explain roles briefly, but I will try again. This isn't the typical team where they all complete missions/jobs together. This is an organized crime Syndicate headed by the Kingpin in which he utilizes the talents of his people for specific aims. Gargan and Overtkill are staight up muscle. Gibson is the hit man. Mystique is the person on the inside using her abilities to drive the Syndicates interests within the city government. Purple Man is Fisk's interregator and occasionally would help Fisk manipulate influential people for the Syndicate's benefit. I think there is at least a clear hierarchy led by someone who has a knack for maintaining order in his own organization. I don't see that in the Cabal even if they were able to unite once.

This one was tough. It really came down to Two-Face and Kingpin. On one hand, Kingpin is one of the ultimate foes of my namesake character. But I also think Two-Face is one of the best villains ever written.

Two-Face wins.
