Last Week
Entering into Friday's games it was a different tale as last week with 3 owners holding double digit W leads and Lucky with a 9-2-3 lead over Mike in a battle of the top of the Cupcakes Division. But as is the case the weekend can change things.
Cupcakes Division
Despite the big lead going into the weekend Lucky's Spreadsheet Studs had a fight left against Tarheel's Blue Sox. With 5 games between them in the standings and Lucky's "undefeated" run on the line things took a turn over the weekend. With an ERA that increased over a full run, a WHIP that went up 2 tenths, and an ERA/OPS that dropped from .309/.998 to .288/.888 a disastrous weekend for Lucky meant the end to his run of winning weeks as Mike topped him 8-6-0.
MKid's Dual National Champions and Grover's New Day Co-Op entered into the weekend knotted up at a 6-6-2 tie and with both teams trying to make a move up towards .500. A stellar 2.25 ERA/0.94 WHIP for Grover would unfortunately not be enough for him as MKid wracked up the number stats in pitching and dominated the offensive side of things. In the end MKid would come out with a solid 8-5-1 win.
In the final Cupcakes battle Vols' Schwetty Vols held a narrow 7-5-2 lead over Pun's It Byrne's When I Peavy. In a less than stellar battle of pitching Vols managed to take advantage with 2 Ws to Pun's 0, Ls to Pun's 6, and a 5.18 ERA to Pun's 5.31. But 13 HRs was enough to help even things off on the offensive side and in the end the two teams walked away as close to a tie as you can, with Vols grabbing the narrow 7-6-1 win.
Bananas Division
Things didn't look good for GM's Comerica National Park down 10-3-1 to Army's Balad Shithooks but as is the way, Friday changes things. Dropping his ERA and WHIP from 4.59/1.50 to 3.25/1.28 and wracking up 6 HRs and 19 RBIs over the week GM managed to take what looks liked a devastating loss and turn it into a narrow victory at 7-6-1.
Moose's OneEyed Jacks would look to avoid the turn around other owners were having as he entered the weekend with a 12-2-0 lead of AA's 3-Time! 3-Time! 3-Time!. Sure enough AA made a charge, taking back R, W, and WHIP. But a lowly 3 HRs and a .221 AVG would be a bit too much to overcome as Moose managed to walk away with some of his weekend lead, notching a 7-5-2 W when all was said and done.
In the final matchup of the week Dev's Jersey ColdFusion managed to defy the odds by actually holding onto most of a lead going into the weekend. In a battle of the 1 and 2 in Bananas Dev had a substantial 12-1-1 lead going into the weekend. While Solly did manage to take back the ERA and WHIP categories Dev took back O-Ks doing the seeming impossible. Entering the weekend with a double digit win lead and walking out with a 10-2-2 victory.

Standings
[/u][/b]The big winner of the week was Dev's 10-2-2 victory over Solly and it was good enough for a chance in the hierarchy in the Bananas Division. For the first time this season Solly fell out of the lead and Dev took the top spot, going from 3.5 behind first to 4.5 ahead of Solly. GM's narrow win would draw him a bit closer to .500 but no closer to 1st while Army would fall a game back. Moose's victory was good enough to not only get his W% up over .400 and out of the last spot in the league, but also out of the basement of the division. AA feel back to that spot at 10.5 behind 1st.
On the Cupcakes side Mike's victory over Lucky was enough to chip into his division lead but not break it. Mikey entered the week 5 back and left it within 3. Vols managed to make up a game and a half on the division while Pun's narrow loss actually improved his season numbers. MKid's victory over Grover would be the big difference maker in the division as MKid moved within 7 of 1st and only 2 games under .500 while Grover fell to the bottom of the division relieving Pun for the first time this season.
Mikey's Stats
In the vs. league average tables, 0.00 is the league average. Anything more than 1.00 either positive or negative is very strong (or weak if negative). Once you get up (or down) near 2.00 it's a number that lends itself to being a statistical anomaly and is due to come back to the pack sooner or later.
This Week
Each remaining division matchup occurs in Week 5 within no team able to complete a "sweep." Dev seeks to hold onto his new division lead against Moose trying to crawl back into respectability. Solly takes on GM in his effort to regain the top spot and AA tries to right the ship against Army. Mike wants to keep up the momentum and charge on first in the Cupcakes Division against Grover while Lucky seeks to get back into winning ways against Vols. And two former division powerhouses struggling to find their foothold face off when Pun faces MKid.
And hopefully I get healthy enough to do this right.
