Last Week
The top team in the league seeks to avenge his one loss, a former number one looks to get back on track against the team who knocked him off 3 weeks ago, two teams seek to continue their climb up the standings with a season record win streak, and two owners do their best to stop season record losing/winless streaks.
Cupcakes Division
Back in Week 4 Mikey's Blue Sox handed Lucky's Spreadsheet Studs his first and to this point only loss of the season. Going into the weekend Lucky seemed poised to return to the favor with a 8-4-2 lead but the battle of 1 and 2 in the division was extremely close and a number of categories (and the week lead) would bounce back and forth all weekend. At various points of the weekend R, RBI, and K would be separated by 1 and both the ERA and OPS would be separated by only 3 100ths of a point. When the week would finally finish up Mike would score the R category by 1 and Lucky would score the ERA category by 0.05 of a run. The two teams would leave knotted at 7-7-0.
After a strong start to the season Vols' Schwetty Vols fell below .500 last week with his second straight loss but he set out to right the ship this week against Pun's It Byrne's When I Peavy and seemed on the right track going into the weekend with an 8-6-0 lead. Pun's team just didn't come through for him this week as he tried to fight his way out of the basement. Besides 13 HRs Pun's team did very little and Vols had little trouble extending his lead for a final 10-3-1 victory.
A win this week for MKid's Dual National Champions would set a new season record for winning streaks while Grover's New Day Co-Op came into the week hoping to notch his first win the week after ending a season long losing streak. But going into the weekend it looked like no upsets as MKid held a dominant 13-1-0 lead and Grover's team failed to do much at all on either side of the field. Grover's efforts were hit with a bit of bad luck as he managed to bring his ERA and WHIP down to a strong 3.28/1.29 that would have faired in him well in many matchups, but against MKid's did nothing but end in a 11-2-1 win for Kid.
Bananas Division
Losing is an unfamiliar feeling for AA's 3-Time! 3-Time! 3-Time! but he came into this week riding a season worst 5 game losing streak. Yet he still sits higher in the standings than Moose's OneEyed Jacks who came into the week in a 3 way tie for worst in the league. AA held a dominant lead in this epic struggle going into the weekend, 10-3-1. Moose's pitching would step up over the weekend with 2 Ws, dropping his WHIP a point, and getting within 0.008 in ERA. It was enough to lessen the damage but not turn things around as AA would get revenge for a loss earlier in the season and end his losing streak with a 9-5-0 victory.
The two fastest climbers in the Bananas division face off as Army's Balad Shithooks go against GM's Comerica National Park, both riding winning streaks and with only 1 G putting Army ahead in the standings. Going into the weekend Army seemed poised to end GM's streak and make distance with a 10-4-0 lead thanks to some dominant offensive performances. Pitching would start to turn things around for GM as he dropped his ERA over a run and a half over the weekend, but even changing 3 categories would do nothing more than reducing Army's win to 8-5-1 to even the season series at 1-1.
Back in Week 4 Dev's Jersey ColdFusion handed Beat Me Solly his first loss and knocked him out of 1st, starting a spiral that has continued through the weeks. Solly hoped to right the ship with some revenge but going into the weekend Dev held a dominant 10-4-0 lead thanks in large part to a stellar pitching line of 4 Ws, 0 Ls, a 1.74 ERA, and a 1.13 WHIP. Solly would grab back the Save category with 3 over the weekend and improve his AVG 65 points to nab that, but Dev would make it 2 in a row against Solly with a 9-5-0 win.
Standings
The big climber of the week is clearly MKid whose big win over Pun nearly grabbed him 1st place in the Cupcake Division and the League leaving him half a game out. Lucky and Mike's tie leaves Mike 5 back and narrowly leaves Lucky in the lead of the division/league. Vols' big win gets him back on track and shaves 3.5 games off his deficit. Pun and Grover fall deeper into the hole and dangerously close to out of contention as they are 22 and 23 games out respectively.
On the Bananas side Dev keeps the momentum going and gains half a point on his division lead. Army gets no closer to 1st but puts distance between himself and GM in 3rd by 3.5 games. Solly falls deeper and AA gains a bit of ground leaving both 12.5 out in the division. Meanwhile Moose finds himself all alone in the basement of the division a full 19 Gs out of 1st place and 12 out of a playoff spot.
Mikey's Stats
In the vs. league average tables, 0.00 is the league average. Anything more than 1.00 either positive or negative is very strong (or weak if negative). Once you get up (or down) near 2.00 it's a number that lends itself to being a statistical anomaly and is due to come back to the pack sooner or later.

Lucky stays almost exactly on pace with his historic numbers while AA stays in 2nd but loses ground due to his poor start. MKid takes a big leap from 6th in the league to 3rd thanks to his hot start while Pun takes a big hit. Dev holds onto 5th putting room between him and .500 while GM climbs up to exactly .500 and 6th place. Mike climbs all the way from 11th to 7th and just a shade under .500 (and past the "USF Bull Line"). Vols loses a little ground and Moose loses a lot falling from 7th to 10th. Grover finally shows up on the board having fallen all the way from 3rd place to 11th thanks to his bad start and only 1 prior season to cover him. Despite his 2009 struggles Solly gets closer to .500 and Army rides his 2009 success to get past Dragon. Amazingly, Beat Me Silly remains in last.
This Week
Interleague play is here! The new change to our scheduling adds a wrinkle to things as Bananas and Cupcakes face off for the first time this season. League leader Lucky will face off against his hated rival AA, who just ended a losing streak and is looking to get back into the Bananas contention. Bananas leader Dev looks to keep his momentum going against Vols who ended a losing streak of his own last week and is just outside of the playoff picture. New #2 in the Cupcakes division MKid looks to make it 5 in a row and take the final step into #1 against last year's league champion GM who saw a 3 week winning streak snapped last week. Its #2 in the Bananas Army against #3 in Cupcakes Mikey as both men look to continue their charges on 1st. Two teams in desperate need of busting slumps face off when Solly faces Pun, and seems like one team has to turn things around. And finally the two divisions basement dwellers will lock up when Moose faces Grover, Moose looking for his first win in 4 weeks and Grover just looking for his first win.
Which league will dominate interleague play? Who will get fat off the other league's competition?
