I was of the misconception that the Yanks were gonna host the Dodgers and I had to buy tickets. So I dug up the pieced together schedule. And I wanted to show it to a couple of people and figured MKid and Grover might like to see it.

Of early note, besides the obvious All Star Game, season finale in Boston, and the Stadium closing vs Baltimore?
Word is the Mets are in Wrigley this day. One day only. Its a Tuesday and its a clear awesome gimmick scheduling from MLB. First day in Chicago for the Yanks, last for the Mets. Double header of NY vs Chicago. That may well be cool enough to convince me to take my trip out there because I need to see Wrigley.
I've also more or less agreed to take the trip out to Pittsburgh when the Yankees go.
Yanks fans are complaining that the Yanks don't close the season/stadium at home but the Mets are also closing theirs and MLB doesn't want them both to go on the same day. Of course you can make an easy argument that Yankee Stadium should get preference over Shea but in the end they'll both do sellouts and I intend to buy a ticket for the last in Shea.
I'm gonna spend a LOT of money on tickets next year. I'm almost glad the Dodgers aren't gonna be on the schedule. Because I'll be shocked if MLB doesn't put them on the schedule in 2009.
