Hawkeye+The Falcon gets a vote. Magic heroes don't do much for me so they're the odd team out. Sorry.

Tim Drake's career has been about following legacies. Batman's and Nightwing's. Just as both men led their Outsiders Drake now leads his, but just as he's forged his own identity as Red Robin he seeks to forge his own team of others looking to make their mark. Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man, has been a reluctant hero for a long time and after a failed attempt to lead his own X-Factor that led to tragedy that left him at the brink of suicide he now looks to redeem himself in Robin's Outsiders. Cannonball can empathize with Robin as he's spent more of his life as a hero than not since his days as a teenager in the New Mutants. But with team after team falling and many friends having gone Cannonball tries his hand with a new leader and new team outside the mutant world. Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle, spent most of his career as a joke despite his brilliant scientific mind, engineering skills, and physical formidableness. And after an... incident that left Ted... should we say scarred? Kord joins Robin's group of heros looking to finally find their place in the world. And the last to join is Tim's long time friend and teammate Cassie Sandsmark. Like Tim's Robin legacy she is just the 3rd woman to take the name Wonder Girl with much to live up to. But with so much tragedy, betrayal, and hard choices plaguing the half-daughter of Zeus she too joins this group with the same goal as the rest. The Outsiders come together because none feel as if they belong anywhere else, but all are driven to be heroes.

Again, I'm with Lucky here, and for similar reasons. Haven't read any magical or mystical stuff yet (besides the first Sandman). I only know Constantine from the movie, and I don't even know if it was an accurate depiction.

Constantine, Shade, and Black Adam are all good characters. The little of Jason Blood I've read has been fine, although I hate Etrigan. Alucard I no very little about besides the obvious (read his name backwards) and one mediocre anime I watched, albeit it that might have had more to do with my disdain for anime than the actual quality of it. Either way, I have nothing against the individual characters. The team itself just does nothing for me.

Did Stu ever explain how Black Adam isn't a villain? I know he said he had a plan, but if this was the plan, it doesn't seem to answer the question.

I never said he wasn't a villain. I just meant he'd fit the team he'd go on. Constantine's sacrificed his friends for his own purposes, Alucard is Dracula/Vlad the Impaler on a leash, Shade has no delusions to being a hero and will kill enemies on a whim, and Blood's kinda the most decent one amongst them. Adam has at least got a vested interest in saving the world, since the country he rules is part of it, and he's suited to mystical threats. Nobody else on the team really likes him(well, maybe Alucard), but between Shade and Alucard's powers and Constantine/Blood's know-how, they can probably keep him in check if needed.
