Solly put together a great mix. However it is a great mix of songs you could easily hear just by tuning in a classic rock radio station, and not moving the dial once.

See, I'm pretty sure most of us think all of our mixes are the best, or are more interesting. For example, Gator with his Drink mix did an awesome job for a drink related themed mix. He choose to go that route, I'm sure he had fun doing it. I recognize the effort, but he didn't get my vote.

I find it a little pretentious to say that your mix is more interesting. You like it, fine. I think it's quite good, but would still rather listen to Solly's.

I guess there are just different views among the people picking. It sounds like Serge has the view of, if you can hear all of these songs anytime you turn on the radio, why bother putting them on a mix CD? I feel the same way. There are obviously people, more it seems, that feel differently.

Sure if I had said "MY MIX IS CLEARLY BEST, YOU ARE ALL FOOLS!" that would be pretentious.

But I don't think that "more interesting" is the same as "best," habs. I think my mix clearly has more variety, and I pointed it out in the hopes that it might sway a few votes my way.

Doubt it, but it seemed worth a try.
