So today, I found out my brother's girlfriend's brother is giving away his old X-Box for free... and it's got a mod chip and a few hundred old SNES roms on it as well. Been looking around all day at what's on there, and I've just scratched the surface.
So far, I've won the Mushroom Cup in Super Mario Kart, played some Tetris 2, and I just started playing WCW Superbrawl (which I'd never actually played before, it's a surprisingly awesome game. Just had an epic win with Brian Pillman over Sting.) Once I'm tired of that, my next target is Sim City 2000, then maybe I see which Megaman games are on here.
So... you guys got any old favourites you still enjoy playing?
Nah, not just SNES, just anything that holds up really well.
I am wondering if anyone ever played Superbrawl, though. It's miles ahead of the WWF games of its time, as far as I can tell, but I never was into WCW until the nWo so I wasn't even aware of the game at the time.
Also... man, I had Elevator Action for my NES. I used to love smashing guys with the elevator.
And Genesis? ANY in the Sonic series, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, the Phantasy Star series, Mutant League Football, Toejam & Earl, Vectorman, Ecco the Dolphin.

MOD: Apparently, in one form or another, every console ever made has had a version of Strider.
Actually - I'll play my dork card...
Strider actually was an arcade game that also debuted at the same time on the TurboGrafix older brother that crashed HARD on the runway, the SuperGrafix.
It was NeoGeo before fuckin NeoGeo was NeoGeo ;D
It would amuse me if next year Byrne did a women's fed or Texas fed. I'd just like to see how he tries to make it a dark, demonic, ECW homage led by James Mitchell or Raven. -- Lucky, 2009
see. i told you byrne was the way to go here. like i said, he's a big dork. -- Ziggy, 2009

Wasn't Strider a NES game? Maybe not, don't exactly remember.

NES Strider was nothing like the arcade one. The Genesis and I guess Supergrafx versions are ports of the arcade one. I believe they even ported it to Playstation as well.

I was also allways partial to the TMNT 4-way arcade game as well as a fun one called Trog.
Also, you can't beat Bubble Bobble, Snow bros. and Rainbow Islands!

Yep, as do I. Shit - I keep Mame around just to play all the old arcade games exactly as I remember them, plus, I'm cheap...
