As for Black Bolt, he's always seemed pretty useless to me. His power is too powerful to use on a regular basis, so he just sits around waiting for a good enough reason to talk.

Superman -- Fuck this guy. So many reasons, but the one that comes to mind right now is that one of the first comics I ever read had Supes beating Flash in a footrace, and I, as a 6-year-old kid, was all "Really? You need to be the fastest too?" So fuck that guy.

Hulk -- You might get rational, controllable Hulk, or you might get the other 99.999% of the time, where he's as likely to kill his teammates as his opponents.

Martian Manhunter -- He's afraid of fire.

Silver Surfer -- Sometimes he wants to save Earth from Galactus, sometimes he wants to feed Earth to Galactus. I don't trust him.

Black Bolt -- asked and answered. Scroll up.

Guy Gardner -- I don't know a lot about GLs, but it seems to me that that kind of power shouldn't be weilded by a douchebag.

Booster Gold -- Anecdotally, he's fun.
Jamie Madrox -- Cool power.
Scarlet Witch -- She went nuts, but she was awesome before that.
Batgirl (Stephanie Brown) -- I don't know this person.
Empowered -- I don't kow this person.
Donatello -- The least of the TMNT, but still.

So it comes down to a lot of characters I don't like vs a team of inoffensive, if unknown, characters for me.

You should read Empowered...it's kinda awesome. The lead character is a classic case of self-doubt especially about her body image only made worse by the fact that her costume tears apart when anything happens to her. Also, the side characters especially the caged demonwolf.
