The idea I was going for (and if I wasn't too lazy to write it up) was essentially Brock, Goldberg, and Awesome form a trio and challenge Ricky Steamboat's, who puts together his own team. But no one wants to work w/ the three of them, and so, deciding they don't' really NEED a 4th, they either bully/as a joke force Barry to be on the team and spend the weeks building up generally beating the shit out of him as much as anyone else on the opposing team would.

Carlitos card just doesn't click for me, but he and I have that history. Although He'll be happy to know I have now watched the past 4 ROH shows, so I can actually put faces to his names without looking them up!
