I don't even approve of that until I start promo'ing again. I just remember months of Folz title reigns with 3 promos over the course of the reign. He's been great the last year or so though.

I pop in here from time to time to see what the cards and champions are looking like, and noticed the last few scheduled shows have been skipped, along with the "hiatus" and "dead" comments in promos. Anyone care to fill me in on what's going on with the OOWF?

Basically, I stepped away from booking in, I believe, June. I was mentally fried and couldn't come up with anything good, and even if I did, it was like pulling teeth getting me to write it. Shawn took over, but then his work got busy, and he was dealing with some personal issues, so, we're on a bit of a hiatus for the moment until someone else has the time/energy/mental state to pick things up.

Hell on Earth 15 marks exactly 15 years to the date since the OOWF's very first show (Dead Baby Bonanza 9/29/04). Not sure if there's anything special being planned for it, but wanted to mention it in case someone wants to sprinkle in some nostalgia or something for the show. (Assuming it takes place at all! I might be able to help out a little and write a couple things if necessary, for such a historic event.)

A few questions/comments:

Is there an "official" new schedule? I don't think I'll be able to promo more than once or twice every couple weeks maybe, but I'm still itching to join back in, so I'd like to know what I'm getting into before diving in.

I haven't been involved since 2016, so I don't know what stories were going on at the end of the OOWF's run and I don't know what stories might be going on now with the revival. Is there any key information I should be keen on prior to jumping in, i.e. how the company was brought back, who is involved, what's the current state of affairs, etc.? I don't want to create my own Cody-verse by not being aware of or acknowledging the meat of what's going on with the OOWF revival.

What's the status of the championships? Are the last ones to hold the belts still the champions? Were the titles all vacated when OOWF ceased operations? Are there even OOWF championships right now, or are they a "to be introduced later"?

I'm guessing word is out that it's back, is there a tally of who's on board? As a suggestion, since it's been at minimum 3½ years since our characters have existed in this universe, maybe have everyone post a character profile/update in the new rejoin/join thread regardless of whether they're actually "new" to the OOWF or not. If nothing else, it would give a clearer picture of the size of the roster and make it easier to reference characters profiles so we're not digging back into pages of the old character profiles thread. Again, just a suggestion.

Related to the last point: I'm big on kind of compiling information and stuff, so I'd be interested in eventually making a "cross-character information" thread just for referencing. It would have short and simple sections as a quick character reference guide when either writing promos/matches or creating a new character. For example, sections would include "hometown/billed from" and would list the towns/cities that corresponds to each character. "Finishing moves" would have each character's list of finishers, helpful when writing matches or if you're creating a new character and don't want to use a finisher that's already being used by someone else. Height and weight would be sections, so you could see how characters stack up against each other. "Entrance music" would also be a section and I would then un-sticky the old "OOWF The Music Vol. 2" thread. This new thread would have the very basic information for every character all nice and neat in a single post and I'd update it whenever something changed or a new character was added (or an old one left). For detailed information such as a wrestler's history/backstory or accomplishments, you'd still have to find their profile in the actual "join the OOWF" thread. I'm getting ahead of myself here, but I wanted to put this down somewhere so I don't forget to do it if it makes sense to do in the future.

I stumbled upon this move back in the day and thought it would make for a great finishing move for someone in the OOWF, just because it's so ridiculous. It didn't really mesh well with my own character and I ended up losing track of the video. I was able to find it again recently, so here it is.

That makes a Canadian Destroyer look like a headlock on the believability scale
