I like The Protectors quite a bit, except for Reed. They still get my vote this round, though.

It's too late, but I love the concept of the girls team here and I really dislike Hal and Reed for some reason.

I don't love either group. Thor, Lantern, and Phoenix make sense together, but the other two just seem random editions to me. I'll give the girls the edge

Mr. Fantastic is one of the smartest people in the MU and a practical scientist, as well as being a legit superhero in the field. She-Hulk brings additional brawn to the team, she's proven herself as a fighter as a member of the FF and the Avengers, and she works as the smartass/witty character who can lighten the mood when the rest of the team is taking itself too seriously.

They were very delibirate choices. Not at all random.

Thanks for the response. I guess in my mind, three of them are these crazy powered galactic kinda characters and the other two just don't seem to fit for me. I may be wrong about Mr Fanastic, but She-Hulk really seems better in more earth based grounded adventures.

I'm happy with this team and glad to defend it.

Reed got his powers in a spaceship that he built. He's dealt with cosmic cubes and major galactic catastrophes. He's got the chops to hang with these guys.

She-Hulk is, admittedly, less space-based, but she's within that power spectrum. She's a Hulk.
