Mayhem told me what the backstory for Deathstroke's team is, and I really like it. Not sure if he's posted it in a thread anywhere, but I'll let him fill everyone in on it.

The basic plan was during a theft of STAR labs, some hero or heroine interferes and Deathstrike finds himself in new universe and brainwashes a bunch of "dark" heroes, for motives known only to himself.

I always loved when they played Deathstroke's ultimate goal as so counter intuitive to what you think it's going to be. The man put together a team of psychotic metas too attack the Titans all so his daughter and son would have people who trusted him. Now that's a plan.
