gotta be honest, not the biggest fan of bacon. and it's not even a jew thing. i pork it up with the best of em, i've just always found bacon to be....ok.

Oh man! A buddy of mine just went deer hunting and he let me have half the deer that he shot. I had some venison sausage made and it is FANTASTIC!

Steak. Specifically, BBQ T-bone steak. Bacon is almost a garnish, and cannot stand alone, like steak. A steak sandwich is bread and steak. A bacon sandwich needs mayo, lettuce and tomato.

You're kidding, right? I can think of a number of things that taste better than bacon. Appleby's chicken fried chicken. Tyson's buffalo chicken tenders. Chili's Carolina ribs. And don't even get me started on all the different steaks.

Bacon is good, yes. But there are lots of things that I'd rather have.

I'm with Krydor. Steak is fabulous. Especially when you grew up in a house that ate NO red meat because Mom was a vegetarian. It was traumatizing.

That's why everytime I go out to eat-- whether it be at Chili's, Logan's, Texas Roadhouse, anywhere that serves steak-- I get it. I prefer the New York Strip, medium rare.

Are we talking side bacon or peameal here? Side bacon's okay, but it has a tendency to be fatty and can easily be overcooked because it's very thin. Peameal's like eating a tiny ham-steak. It's awesome by itself, on a sandwich, or as a burger-topping.

Also, there is no bacon in the world that stands up to steak. It's just not possible.

Last night we went out to dinner at a fancy schmancy place and I had a ham-stuffed pork chop wrapped in bacon (a.k.a. a jooooo's nightmare). It was awesome except my 7yo stole my bacon when I went to take a leak.

In conclusion, bacon rules.

That's right. Denny's is too high class for Tex. Cracker Barrel feels so much more his speed - especially the cheesey garage sale items they sell in their "store" out front. You should see Tex's living room - shit, he has all the Cracker Barrel's "John Deere" items proudly displayed.
