While I think Riddler's far a cooler character than Magneto, I have to admit it's basically Evil Genius who has control over all things metal vs. Evil Genius who constantly gives too much information to non-Evil Genius and is thereby thwarted. Riddler's pretty dumb for a genius sometimes.

I love the Riddler. He is my favorite of the Batman villains. He got a terrible draw though. Before Sir Ian's great potrayal I'd give this to the Riddler but he was just too damn good in the X-Men trilogy.

It is a tough choice thogh. I'm probably one of the few who loved Jim Carrey as The Riddler. I was so used to Carrey being the hero of movies. Batman Forever was cool because I got to see him as the villain.

I disagree completely. Carrey couldn't bring the darkness to the role that Nicholson did. Joker's psychotic. Riddler's psychotic too, but he's also sillier.

I couldn't stand Carrey as the Riddler. For starters, it seemed that whole film was centered around him instead of Batman. But besides that, Carrey is more of a comedic ha-ha guy. It seemed like they were going for more of an evil guy with a sense of humor, and it didn't work. Remember, one of the reasons Carrey was picked as the Riddler was because that was when he was super popular, and the producers were attempting to cash in on that. He was shoe horned into a role that didn't quite fit.

FYI: As of late, the Riddler has become much more of an evil insane bad guy. Less humorous, more intelligent and deadly.

I figured I'd get a smite for liking Carrey but oh well. I actually really liked the entire movie except I felt Nicole Kidman's character was in the movie for no real reason other then to be damsel in distress. I liked that the original Batman Series were centered on the villains. They are really interesting.

I actually didn't hate that one. It wasn't good and it was WAY too Adam West slapstick Batman but I actually enjoyed the Carey/Jones interaction. No, Carey didn't nail Ridler. He was way too over the top zany. And Jones wasn't very Two Face. It was really just Jim Carey and Tommy Lee Jones fucking around. Which was fun but not terribly "accurate." The story was stupid. O'Donnell sucked. The villains in no way resembled the comic villans. I like Kilmer but he wasn't terribly inspiring in that film. And like I said, way too zany and slapstick for my tastes. And nipples.

I think you can easily break up Batman into two categories. Burton's Batman/Batman Returns, Batman Begins, and the Animated Series. The dark, serious Batman, mature and deeply flawed. And then there's Adam West and Schumacher's Batman(men). Campy, heroic, kids super hero in the way "heros" and comics are thought of. If you aren't committed to that dark character and you go for the lighter stuff I can definitely see Batman Forever working for you.

As long as you didn't like Batman and Robin. Then you get super smited.

And Carey totally could capture the zaniness of Joker and did in the Riddler. Could he be evil? Nicholson was evil but he wasn't the Joker. There was none of the crazy "Joker" aspect to it. Finding the balance would be the key. But Carey's just off the wall fucking looneyness would be enough for me to give him a try with Joker to see if he COULD be evil.

Magneto is a badass. Sir Ian's Magneto was badass. Grant Morrisson's crazy drugged up Magneto (who was retconned to be Xorn but fuck that shit) was badass. He tore up NYC!

And he fucked Rogue. Something Gambit couldn't do for YEARS (or has he yet?)

Even though it's a blowout at this point, I'm not voting Riddler. I helped get him into the Showdown, while Magneto didn't even make my list. Head-to-head, though, it's really no contest. Riddler's sometimes cool, but usually a bit of a joke. Magneto's bent on mutant domination and will do whatever's necessary to achieve his goal.

Magneto wins.
