Also, George had a dog named "Shep" (who was actually an elephant,) his best friend was an ape named "Ape" who was smarter than him (not much of a feat, admittedly,) and he called the love interest "fella" ('cause he grew up with monkeys and had no idea what human females looked like, natch.) Also, somehow Rocky and Bullwinkle got zero noms, so this is your one chance to vote for Jay Ward. If you like goofy non-sequiters, he's your man.

Here's the thing. I can remember actual episodes of Voltron, while I can only remember the theme song (word for word) for George of the Jungle. And now that this thread exists, I can't get it out of my head. Thanks for that. Anyway, I had to vote Voltron because it was clearly a more interesting show as a whole to me.
