There is no redeeming feature to Rugrats. If I'd had kids while that show was on, I would've expressly forbidden them to watch it. All the kids on that show spoke in broken, retarded, what-adults-think-kids-talk-like "English". There's absolutely no excuse for it.

ETA: Pinky and the Brain was the shit, so I would've voted for that anyway. Fuck Rugrats!

Touche. But I strike those up to nostalgia wins. Nostalgia tricks you into missing crap, as I believe someone else already said with a bad comic strip earlier in this contest. I've figured there have been 2 basic reasons why I've disagree with some of the decisions here.

1) Nostalgia. That's why Underdog and Hong Kong Phoey, despite having no apparent substance, won out. Because they had a few notable features (a memorable theme song, a funny costume, a simple character) and are firmly enough in the psyche that you THINK you love it. But you probably don't even remember it.

2) Unfamiliarity. I think that's why Foster's and Justice League fared so poorly. They're just too new for them to have been viewed by the majority or for people to appreciate them. Even if you do know and like the show you haven't seen the episodes tons of time and it hasn't been implanted in your brain since you were a kid.

Rugrats and Pinky and the Brain are from the same rough time period. Same rough animation style/quality. They should get voted on quality. And if Court didn't vote Rugrats who did? My best guess is that parents who watched the show with their kids are maybe voting based on it being good enough for them not to want to blow their brains out. And maybe they weren't watching P&tB, or at least not as much since their kids weren't.

Or maybe you're right and everyone's just stupid.

I did however vote for Ghostbusters so I think I've fallen off of the rhythm of just agreeing with you everytime you object to a vote.

My best guess is that Tex or Pun might have given it a vote on the kid thing. And Dev's kind of voted faggy shows so maybe he did. Otherwise, I don't know. I notice that ProduceFucker is 16 and voted in this so I'd guess he's to blame for one of those votes (that IS producefucker, right?). And I don't really know the voting style of Scotty doesn't know (nor do I know who he is) so maybe he did?

Spot on. I knew Pinky was gonna destroy, but I really didn't watch either show and so I asked my kid. It's nothing against Pinky at all, and w/o looking at the brackets I think Pinky will go very very far.

My little sister was a big fan of Rugrats when she was young and it was a damn good kids cartoon. The movie was really good as well. I have nothing against Rugrats.
