It’s close between Eco and Deadly, but I’m going with Eco by a hair. No offense to Smitty, who beat me in the last round, but I don’t see an ultimate cast roster featuring the likes of Terry Sweeney and Pamela Stephenson.

Between Eco and Deadly, host is a tie. Musical guest I give to Eco because Grande is more usable in sketches. Weekend Update I give to Deadly, Poehler needs a running buddy to be most effective and Mohr and Kightlinger are so far outside the box I can’t help but love it.

Cast is real, real close. Eco has the better women. He gets all the digital shorts with Samberg. I’m confident he will use Sandler well. Having minorities in your cast I think is always great, because it opens up so many more impressions and sketch opportunities; Rock and Cleghorne probably pair better and give you more than Morgan and Morris. Ferrell is a better ‘quarterback’ than Carvey and he has two favorite ‘receivers’ to throw to in Shannon and Kattan. However, I see Carvey being the kind of guy who could really bring out the best in Bayer, Hall, Killam and Louise-Dreyfus. There just feels like more depth in Eco’s cast and that’s the winning edge.

Congratulation to Eco for winning the SNL Ultimate Cast Draft. He not only won the final, but dominated his two other round match-ups as well. Smitty came in second with Deadly in third. Thanks to everyone for playing and making my first try at running a draft here go pretty smoothly and for being a lot of fun.
